Vance-Granville Community College Athletics will resume Fall 2024 in the sports of Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Basketball.
Welcome to Vance-Granville Community College and our intercollegiate athletic program. We are proud to have the opportunity to offer two intercollegiate sports that aim to develop young men and women as people, students, and athletes. Please utilize our site to learn more about those programs, the dedicated student-athletes that take the opportunity to represent our college, department, and community, and the terrific group of coaches that work extremely hard everyday to provide a positive experience for everyone involved. The ysb体育官网app下载 Athletics Program began National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) competition during the 2008-2009 academic year. ysb体育官网app下载 started its NJCAA competition with men’s basketball. Women’s volleyball was added to ysb体育官网app下载’s sports program and began NJCAA competition during Fall 2009. The golf program began NJCAA competition in Spring 2010 (after one season as a club team). The ysb体育官网app下载 mascot is the Vanguard. The Vanguard mascot is a symbol of strength, leadership, service and readiness to face new challenges. The idea for the mascot came from ysb体育官网app下载 students.
